I have had this message pop up for one of my old clients I still do support for and I am still the Admin for on their 365 system. Microsoft enforcing MFA in 365 in 12 days message Cloud Computing & SaaS.The only other reference I saw in the boards to the KB3063858 was that it was taking a long time to install no reference to 32-64 though. We have been turning off auto updates and manually skipping this patch. We tried different user accounts just to be sure it was not profile specific. The few that we have seen that were unrecoverable may let us log in but once you are in, you cannot do much before the system seems to freeze up. We will probably end up reimaging these as we can (the laptops are scattered over many different branches) but I was just curious if anyone else has seen this issue or if anyone has suggestions. I think that they are almost all e5530s is just coincidence. These are pretty much the only computers we still have on 32-bit. We do have a few that have made it through (though I have not witnessed this personally). This only seems to be happening on 32-bit laptops mostly Dell Latitude e5530s.
We can cause the patch to fail and revert by shutting down and going into safe mode. Is anyone else having an issue with KB3063858? We have about a dozen 32-bit Windows 7 machines (works fine on 64) where this patch causes the updates to get stuck at 67% or 72%.
